The Institutional strengthening of CTVET.

AIM: “Institutional strengthening of national bodies for TVET in Ghana in terms of accreditation, supervision and management and by making ATVET competence based)”

Achievements

Supported the development of 6-new CBT programs in Agriculture for implementation in the Farm Institutes in Ghana. They include:

  • Agripreneurship NCII
  • Poultry production NCII
  • Arable Crops Production NCII
  • Tree Crops Production (Cocoa) NCII
  • Agric Mechanization NCII
  • Livestock Production NCII

All the six programs accredited and approved for implementation

Institutional and center accreditation have been granted to all the 3-FI (WFI, ADFI, and ASFI) to enable them implement the newly developed programs

Supported to the corporate affairs unit of CTVET in terms of development and supply of communication materials during the launch of CTVET.

Also supported the development of marketing and communication strategy for CTVET

Support for the implementation of the marketing and communication strategy through radio, TV, various Social Media platforms, bill boards etc.

Supported the TVET report development for 2022.

Supported Graduate tracer study and greening practices in the FIs and engagement with employers.

Facilitated the development signing of MOUs between the FIs and Agro-industries for purposes of Workplace Exp Learning (WEL)

Arranged the CBT course for the staff of the Farm Institutes which is necessary for accreditation and implementation of the new courses.

Extra Support

The project further supported CTVET’s enforcement unit through the develop an enforcement Policy and manual, checklists and various forms. Digitization of these policy manual and checklists for integration into CTVETs MIS system for efficient monitoring and enforcement of best standards in the TVET Institutions were also undertaken.

Study visit to the Netherlands for 12 staff members of CTVET, MOFA and MoE. Initiating the piloting of the implementation of the new developed programs.
