Prior to the training, teachers themselves translated training to a competence based training program based on their own knowledge or experience. Currently, facilitators from CTVET explained what is needed when delivering CBT training and how this was integrated in the developed occupational Standards, unit Specification and learning materials and how to translate this to a competence based training program.
Furthermore, the teachers (who will become facilitators from now on) heard about the educational reform’s impact. Part of this impact was the transference of agricultural TVET institutes from the Ministery of Food and Agriculture to the Ministery of Education under the Commission’s supervision.
